Basic Needs

Street Sisters operates on in-kind donations. We collect the most in-need, hard to get basic items to distribute for those who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Please see below for items we need most at this time. Some items must be new, but many can be gently used as indicated. If you are donating used items, please ensure they are clean.

Underwear

We need a variety of sizes of underwear must be new and unworn. We accept boxers, and men's briefs as well as female underwear. Most common size needed is medium. We are also in need of gently used, girlfriend ready bras!

We are so grateful that our clothing donations are FULL! We are not accepting any clothing at this time. Please check back again in late Spring 2024.

Single Serve Snacks + Juice Boxes and Bottled Water

Snack foods are in high demand. Healthier options such as granola bars, fruit sauce or fruit cups and juice boxes are in need.

Sleeping Bags + Blankets

New sleeping bags and new blankets that are knitted or sewn are accepted. Sorry, we can't accept used bedding of any kind.

Gift Cards (5 dollar denominations)

Our most needed item.

A 5-dollar gift card provides high value for the donation. Vulnerable folks can get a hot meal, warm up, use the washroom and sit somewhere comfortably. This is a gift of dignity, warmth and food.

We always have a need for gift cards to Mcdonalds and Tim Hortons in 5$ denominations.

Socks

Always needed item.

We distribute more than 5000 pairs of socks per year. In colder months we need warm, thermal socks.

In warmer months we are in need of ankle socks and long socks.

New socks are preferred!
